Samsung Electronics has announced its 13th annual Solve for Tomorrow $2 million contest to teachers of U.S. public school students in grades 6–12. The contest encourages teachers to submit ideas on how their students can help their communities by problem-solving with the help of classroom technology and other supplies. A new report shines a stark light on the state of education technology in the United States. Among the findings: There's inadequate funding for information security and ineffective use of technology tools in schools, at least from the perspective of state education leaders, according to a new report issued today by the State Educational Technology Director's Association (SETDA) in collaboration with Whiteboard Advisors.
AAUW has opened its 2022 Community Action Grant program, which awards $3,000 to $10,000 to individuals and organizations for programs that promote "education and equity" for women and girls.
The deadline for the $10,000 ClassTag Community Engagement Grant is just nine days away. The program will recognize one school district for a "creative or successful new community engagement initiative" that took place in the 2021–2022 school year.
K–12 community engagement platform ClassTag has opened applications for its Community Engagement Grant, which will recognize a U.S. school district for engaging with families, staff, and the community in “the most creative ways,” the company said.
